Something to Talk About
By Amy Ochalski

Everyone is talking about Eskell. Designers Elizabeth Del Castillo and Kelly Whitesell opened their boutique ' Eskell' on Webster in Chicago last year, and they seem to have the most desirable clothes in town. Del Castillo and Whitesell are carrying truly forgoing trends. They have some of the must -have pieces of the season.

By using combinations of unique vintage fabrics and as well as newer fabrics in their designs, no one can duplicate the pieces that they create. The combinations they use of fabric and shape set these trend setters apart from the rest, by creating fabulous fluttering tops and dresses.

They have a "unique sense for detail in everyday clothes and that is always [our] goal." As Whitesell puts it. Every piece stands out and has some personality to it. Detail is also very important to the Eskell line. Del Castillo and Whitesell do their ultra fine detailing by hand and they definitely have an eye for it. "We truly love clothes and I
think our line conveys that."

These dedicated designers are presenting a new vision with their spring line. Look for their 2006 Spring line coming soon to Chicago . You will see clothes inspired from everything from 1970's surfers and beach life to the Charles Manson girls to 60's alien women with a 'Barberella' twist. These unique finds are feminine and great for any occasion. Whitesell says, " It is our goal to create beautiful, timeless, clothes that people will keep forever because they are special and they make them feel great and of course cool."
