Garden of Eden Event

Glitz and glamour and all points in between were in full bloom at the recent Garden of Eden benefit for the Illinois affiliate of Y-ME Breast C ancer Organization. Hosted by John Cotay of Akira Boutique and Helen Berkun (AKA MISSRED), the event attracted over 1,000 beautiful Chicagoans who attended in support of Y-Me of Illinois . The stunning Galleria Marchetti in Chicago ’s River West area provided an elegant backdrop for the evening’s festivities.

Highlights of the evening included a vigorous dance performance by SO IL, the stimulating cabaret-styled routine of the Peek-a-boo Revue Girls as well as a magnificent fashion presentation by Akira Boutique featuring the exquisiteness of Ford Models. Also providing entertainment was the group Fallen; KG Beats provided the music.

Overall, I’d say that the event resonated success within the minds of not only the event goers but the sponsors, vendors and of course Y-ME of Illinois . I’m sure that John and Helen were quite pleased with the turnout as well. I look forward to the next installment of Garden of Eden and I hope to be in attendance then too!
