The Firm That MODELS.com Calls #1 Brings Aboard Abercrombie
& Fitch Rising Star
New York , September 23, 2004
IMG has announced it will
represent emerging modeling talent Albert Reed, who
catapulted into the public eye this summer as the fresh new
cover face of Abercrombie & Fitch catalog.
IMG (http://www.imgworld.com ), cited by MODELS.com as the #1
New York agency representing models and "the one true blue
chip agency in the business," signed Reed last week,
culminating Reed's steady rise in the modeling world. With
70 offices in 30 countries around the globe, IMG has been a
leader in talent management and marketing for nearly five
decades and represents high-profile models such as Gisele,
Kate Moss, Tyra Banks, and Heidi Klum.
Reed's signing is a turning point in his burgeoning career.
Catalog shoots for Italian sportswear company SLAM and the
2004 Abercrombie & Fitch back-to-school catalog cover under
his belt, Reed, 19, is poised to enter a new chapter of
career growth with IMG at the helm.
Reed can currently be seen featured in a back-to-school
football video Abercrombie & Fitch launched on its website
and in the premiere issue of Abercrombie & Fitch magazine,
A&F, which spotlights Reed and other models from the
clothing giant's "Rising Stars" Campaign.
Recognized for his boy-next-door good looks, youthful
vitality, and all-American outdoor sportsmanship - and known
as the model who "lives to surf," Reed has appeared in a
number of other magazines, including Seventeen and Cosmo
Girl, and in advertisements for Reebok, NIKE, Neiman Marcus,
and Ray-Ban. Reed's image on the Abercrombie & Fitch catalog
cover has appeared as an ad in such publications as Rolling
Stone, GQ, Teen Vogue, and the premiere issue of VITALS.
Reed also is a musical performer who has recorded original
and cover material. For more about Albert Reed, visit his
