Is Chicago ready for this?
[Heatherette]
By Brian Gulash

You may have seen it on Paris and Nicky Hilton, and other jetsetters but did you ever think it would be available right on the magnificent mile?

Is Chicago ready for this? This October Richie Rich and Traver Rains appeared in the savvy department at Nordstrom on 55 E Grand to launch their ‘living dolls’ collection for their label Heatherette.

The designing duo was there snapping pictures and signing autographs with fans while informal modeling of their latest duds took place. Rains and Rich have dressed almost every trendsetter in the public eye including Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwen Stefani, Eve, and many more.

The two have been around for a while, but until recently their clothing was not made readily available to the public, sure Miss Hilton could pop into their showroom in New York to have a dress custom made for a party, but what was the rest of the fashionistas to do?

Well rest easy my fashion readers the day is here and you too can have your very own Heatherette outfit to prance around town in. The ‘living dolls’ collection includes bright t-shirts, sparkly dresses, puffy coats, cropped sweaters, jazzed-up sweat suits, and much more. A pink and purple sequined dress might scare some off (unless their a fearless fashion junky), but don’t be fooled; it’s all about confidence, if you’re the squeamish type try paring it over jeans and a cropped black Marc by Marc Jacobs sweater.

If you’re looking for something black look somewhere else this label is all about pink and other bright colors, to sum it up; everything Richie Rich and Traver Rains touch is “bubble pop electric”.
