The stage is set for one of the most highly anticipated fashion events of the season, Gen Art’s “Fresh Faces in Fashion 2005,” presented by the new hip IN:CHICAGO Card by American Express, to be held on Thursday, September 29. Now in its third year in Chicago, the show promises to be the best ever in its new location on the Rooftop Terrace at Millenium Park. Gen Art’s Fresh Faces 2005 is the grand finale of Fashion Focus Chicago 2005, an 11-day celebration of Chicago’s fashion industry presented by the City of Chicago.
Gen Art, one of the nation’s leading arts and entertainment organizations, will present the Spring 2006 collections of seven emerging Chicago designers along a 60-foot runway traversing a soaring two-story high tent. A cocktail reception and accessories exhibition featuring the work of Chicago-based emerging jewelry and shoe designers will start at 7:00 p.m. with the live fashion show beginning at 8:30 p.m.
“Fresh Faces in Fashion is a spectacular opportunity to highlight emerging Chicago designers with up-front access for media and fashion influencers,” said Kelly Ryan O’Brien, Regional Director of Gen Art. “This is our anchor event that promotes Chicago ’s rising stars year after year.”

For the first time ever, the Spring 2006 designs by Allie Adams for Doris Ruth, Orlando Espinoza, Michelle Tan, Kent Nielsen, Shane Gabier, Lara Miller and Tom Bynum will be showcased to key fashion media, influential stylists, retail buyers, and Chicago ’s premier tastemakers. Fashions will preview the hottest trends in womenswear and menswear.
Jewelry designers Zoë Oliver and Jill Alberts and shoe designer Ifeanyi Chuku will display their collections during the cocktail hour offering guests first-hand access to the artists and their collections.
Previous Fresh Faces shows have launched the careers of Zac Posen, Chaiken, Rebecca Taylor, Milly by Michelle Smith and many more.
The Fresh Faces 2005 show on the Rooftop Terrace at Millenium Park will take place at 201 East Randolph. Access to the event is located on East Randolph.
